BISER DATABASE TOOLS

The BISER Regional Population Survey (RPS) and Establishment Decision Maker Survey (DMS) Database Tools 2003 are designed to give a quick overview of indicators measuring the Information Society at a regional level. The tools incorporate a number of applications to enable users to quickly and easily interpret, analyse and review the results of the BISER pilot surveys. The Database Tools are developed in Excel spreadsheet format.
The data contained stems from the 2003 BISER pilot surveys. All 28 BISER NUTS 2 regions, 145 BISER indicators as well as dozens of background variables (from secondary sources) are included.
More information about how to install and use the tool, as well as definition of indicators and a description of survey design can be found in the BISER Database Tools Manual which you can download here. We advise you to read this manual first before using the database.

  • Minimum:
    Microsoft Windows 95, NT4; Mac OS Classic - Microsoft Excel 97 or another software that is able to open *.xls files - Pentium 166 Mhz or similar processor - 16 MB RAM -     standard graphic card - resolution: 800 x 600 pixel - any browser
  • Recommended:
    Microsoft Windows 2000 and above, Mac OS X - Microsoft Excel 2000 and above - Pentium 600 Mhz or similar processor - 64 MB RAM - colour graphic card, at least 16 MB - resolution: 1280 x 1024 pixel - IE 5.5 or any other browser

 

The Database Tools are best viewed with 100% zoom, in full screen mode and with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixel.
